CAN A RICH MAN ENTER

There are many questions about the rich people, the question is can a rich man enter into the kingdom of heaven, it is dogmatic to say that a rich man cannot enter into the kingdom because Jesus when he meant the rich young man, Let read the scripture Mark 10:17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?  Mark that word eternal life which talk about undieble life, in Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God. Mark 10:19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. Mark 10:20 and he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. Mark 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, one thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

 

Mark 10:22 and he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. Now understand what this man was asking, he was seeking a life that will never end that was his arms of coming to Jesus, but Jesus sensing his intention said sell all your belongings and give to the poor he left Jesus in fear because he cannot trust God to supply his needs but his trust is in his riches

  

Mar 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, how hardly (mark that word hardly) they that have riches shall enter into the kingdom of God! Mark 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answered again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

 

Mar 10:25 it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. A man was running into Jesus to enquire of him on how he can obtain eternal life in other word, how he can gain access to everlasting life, I said that before.  Now the emphasis is 1) RICHES. Note that this man was not after the kingdom of heaven! He was actually seeking God intervention for a life that cannot die so that he can continue to enjoy his money or wealth. See what Jesus replied him in verse 21 of mark 10. What is a treasure? Accumulated or stored in wealth in the form of money, jewels, or other valuable. 2) Anything you considered valuables and precious is your treasure. What you appreciate, wealth and riches especially in form of money that you store away these are your treasure. He became sad at the reply of Jesus. In mark 10 verses 22, in   Pro 11:28 He that trusted in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. 1 Timothy 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 1 Timothy 6:10 for the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrow.….. So Jesus makes it clear to all that it will be difficult for a rich man or person to make heaven if your trust is in your wealth. In 1 Timothy 6 verse 12 fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. In verse 17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy;

 

 And verse 19 laying up in store for them a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. For those who desire to be rich for it become a sin; when your trust is in your riches verse 23 of mark 10 in verse 24 and 25 the head of a camel going through the eye of a needle was a proverb I in Israel. Therefore in conclusion, if God bless you with great riches always remember that what you have is giving to you by God so that you can be a blessing to others around you and you must glorify God always for it and heaven will be your hope.
