WISDOM FOR REPENTANCE PART 4

8. (VARIANCE) Always Stirring Up Arguments and Division

Some people love controversy and create conflicts wherever they go. Instead of promoting peace, they sow discord in families, churches, and workplaces. God calls His children to be peacemakers, not troublemakers. (Proverbs 6:16-19 KJV

These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: [17] A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, [18] An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, [19] A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. Titus 3:9-11)

9.  (EMULATIONS) Burning with Jealousy and Unhealthy Competition

Jealousy stems from insecurity and dissatisfaction, leading to resentment toward others' success. Instead of celebrating others, jealous individuals desire their downfall. Unhealthy competition breeds pride and strife, which is contrary to humility and love. (James 3:16-18 KJV. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. [17] But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. [18] And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. )

10. (WRATH) Letting Anger Take Control and Explode in Rage

Anger itself is not sinful, but uncontrolled anger leads to destructive actions and words. Explosive rage damages relationships and dishonors God. Believers are called to exercise self control and resolve conflicts peacefully. (Ephesians 4:26-27 KJV. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: [27] Neither give place to the devil.; Proverbs 29:11 KJV. A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.)

11.  (STRIFE) Creating Conflict and Tension Wherever You Go

Some people thrive on drama and conflict, constantly stirring up trouble instead of fostering peace. They disrupt harmony in homes, workplaces, and churches. A divisive spirit is dangerous and goes against Christ’s call for unity. (Romans 16:17-18 KJV

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. [18] For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. And  Proverbs 16:28 KJV. A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.)

12. (SEDITIONS) Rebelling Against Rightful Authority

God establishes authority for order, whether in families, churches, or governments. Rebellion against rightful authority often leads to chaos and dishonor. Even when leaders are imperfect, God calls for respectful submission unless they go against His Word. (Romans 13:1-2 KJV. Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. [2] Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 1 Samuel 15:23 KJV. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.)

13. (HERESIES) Twisting the Truth and Spreading False Teachings

False teachers distort God’s Word to suit their desires, leading others into deception. This includes preaching a diluted gospel, promoting heresies, or misleading people for personal gain. The Bible warns against such deception and urges believers to test every teaching by Scripture. (2 2 Peter 2:1-3 KJV

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. [2] And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. [3] And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. And  Galatians 1:6-9)

14. (Envyings) Being Consumed with Jealousy and Resentment

Jealousy and resentment prevent spiritual growth and lead to bitterness. When people fixate on what others have, they fail to recognize God’s blessings in their own lives. Instead of envying others, believers should focus on contentment and gratitude. (Proverbs 14:30 KJV. A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones. Philippians 4:11-12)

15. (MURDERS) Taking the Life of Another in Hatred or Violence

Murder is the ultimate expression of hatred, but Jesus also taught that harboring anger against someone is like committing murder in the heart. Whether through physical violence, revenge, or hatred, taking life is an offense against God. (Exodus 20:13 KJV. Thou shalt not kill. But in expansion, Matthew 5:21-22 KJV. Said. Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: [22] But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.)

16. (DRUNKENNESS) Living in Drunkenness and Addiction

Substance abuse controls the mind and body, leading to reckless decisions, broken relationships, and spiritual downfall. The Bible warns against drunkenness, urging believers to remain sober-minded and filled with the Holy Spirit. (Proverbs 20:1 KJV. Wine is a mocker, strong (intoxicating) drink is raging: (Arouses brawling unruly fight) and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. And Ephesians 5:18)

17.  (REVELLINGS) Partying Wildly Without Self Control

A life of reckless partying, excessive pleasure-seeking, and lack of self control leads to spiritual decay. People who live for worldly pleasures often neglect their relationship with God. The Bible calls for moderation and godly living. (Luke 21:34; 1 Peter 4:3-4)

Each of these behaviors leads people away from God's plan for their lives. However, through repentance and transformation by the Holy Spirit, anyone can be set free from these destructive patterns and live a life that honors God.

And this is not even the full list! I have warned you before, and I say it again: Anyone who chooses to live like this will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
