TOPIC: THE KINGDOM OF GOD

SCRIPTURE: JOHN 3:3:5

OBJECTIVE: TO GAIN UNDERSTANDING OF THE PURPOSE, WHY JESUS CAME TO DIE FOR THE WORLD OF MANKIND AND TO ESTABLISH A HEAVENLY CHARACTER FOR ALL BELIEVERS OF CHRIST ON EARTH.

We have explained previously that the kingdom of God as mentioned in John 3:3,5 KJV.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [5] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

This Is the culture of Christ character established for all who accept him as lord and savior on earth. You being a Christian, you are to be seen as the light of God's glory filled with power,  doggedness and faithfully exhibiting the fruit of the Holy spirit as stated in Galatians 5 verse 22. 

Galatians 5:22 KJV. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. 

Let me re-emphasized here again, that the kingdom of God is a heavenly cultural practice, which is centered on Christ Jesus as the head of all spirits in the heavenly place. 

Colossians 2:10 KJV. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

The character of a superior being is what Christ Jesus came to establish on Earth for all persons who accept him as lord and savior. That is why he prayed in Matthew 6 verse 10. let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This prayer was done to crave for more heavenly support for the full establishment of God's will as it is in heaven.

At that time, the Jewish cultural practice was merely in words but power was lacking, except for those who choose to practice spiritism. 

Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 4:20 KJV. For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. The kingdom of God is not in talking but a demonstration of power for the believer of Christ Jesus as it is in heaven.

Jesus said no one can be part of the Kingdom unless he or she is personally born again and to be born again, you don't need a national or ethnic affiliation. The entrance requirement for being born again is your personal repentance and spiritually rebirth 

In Luke 17:20-21 KJV. And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: [21] Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Jesus said the Kingdom is within you, this translates to Jesus himself though physically present with them or living with them at the time of his teachings,  he shall live within our hearts as a habit called righteousness! Therefore, Christ in our lives becomes a cultural character we must exhibit in our daily life which is called righteousness. 

Note that those who do not have this character, even though they go to church, preach Jesus in any capacity and are  not born again they are not yet a believer of Christ.

The following are some character traits of a born again Christian: (1) BEING BROKEN IN YOUR SPIRIT. In Matthew 5:3 KJV.

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven. This translates to your spiritual brokenness, that means you are being conscious of your spiritual need. 

Now understanding your spiritual obligations with full intention and precisely consciousness that everything you do in life is not unto man's reward but God. Even though God will use men to reward you, you must see the consciousness of spirituality or maturity in every born again child of the  kingdom who has undergo a spiritual rebirth in their lives.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Every born again child of God stands to be able to discern the thought and intentions of spirits and carnality, because when you receive Jesus as your lord and savior, certain spirits enter into you to help you grow in the character or in his character.

That spirit you can find in Isaiah 11:2 KJV. And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;. 

(1) THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING 

(2) THE SPIRIT OF COUNSEL AND OF POWER 

(3) THE SPIRIT OF KNOWLEDGE AND OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD. 

The spirit of Jesus cannot manifest in you if you are not broken  (born again) in your spirit and if you cannot say to God  take all of me and give me yourself even by physical practices and the spirit of wisdom and understanding cannot give you defence as you desire in your Christian life according to Ecclesiastes 7:12 KJV. For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.
