We started talking about what you carry inside is what you attract which leads us to Matthew 13 verse 25 and we talk about TARES and it was described as what looks like wheat but it's not, looking like the original but it's fake.
This type of lifestyle called “Tares” can weaken our spiritual life and delay our progress if not uprooted. The concept of "tares" in Matthew 13:25 relates deeply to human disappointment because Tares symbolize unwanted obstacles that disrupt growth, just as disappointments hinder our expectations. Below is a breakdown of how each Tares leads to disappointment in our lives
Disappointments in life often stem from these Tares because they choke progress, ruin relationships, and delay destinies. However, just as a farmer uproots weeds, one can overcome disappointments by identifying and removing these tares through prayer, discipline, wisdom, and godly counsel.
Let's look at how to Overcome Disappointments Caused by "Tares"
To remove the "tares" that lead to disappointment, you must take intentional spiritual, mental, and practical steps. Here’s how to deal with each:
1. Negative Thoughts → therefore, you will need to Renew Your Mind
Solution: Replace negative self-talk with God’s promises (Romans 12:2 KJV. And be not conformed (use to) to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.)
Practical Step: Write and meditate on scriptures that affirm your worth or value (Philippians 4:13 KJV. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me).
Outcome: Try to develop confidence and resilience.
2. Bad Influences can be that Tares in your life → Therefore, Choose the Right Relationships
Solution: Disconnect from toxic people and build godly friendships (Proverbs 13:20 KJV. He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.)
Practical Step: Seek wise mentors and like minded believers.
Outcome: Create your Peace of mind and stronger support systems.
3. Sinful Habits Can Be That Tares In Your Life → Repent & Seek Accountability
Solution: Confess, repent, and get accountability partners (James 5:16 MSG - 16 Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with).
Practical Step: Join a support group or have a spiritual mentor.
Outcome: if you do this you will find Freedom from destructive cycles.
4. Distractions Can Be That Tares→ You are therefore to set Priorities & Stay Focused
Solution: Identify time wasters and eliminate them (Colossians 3:2 KJVS. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth).
Practical Step: Use a planner, set goals, and track your progress. Habakkuk 2:2 KJV. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
Outcome: Increased productivity and fulfillment.
5. Unforgiveness can be a Tares in your life→ Let Go & be Healed, don't dwell in your past.
Solution: Forgive as Christ forgave you (Ephesians 4:31-32 KJV. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: [32] And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.).
Practical Step: Pray for those who hurt you and write down your feelings to release them. believers should forgive as God forgives, which includes not dwelling on past offenses. However, forgetting does not mean losing memory but choosing not to let past wrongs affect future relationships.
Outcome: Always satisfy your Inner peace and restored relationships.
6. False Doctrines can be that Tares → Study the Word for Yourself
Solution: Be like the Bereans, verify teachings with Scripture (Acts 17:11 KJV. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.).
Practical Step: Get ready to read and study your Bible daily and listen to sound messages.
Outcome: build Strong spiritual knowledge for discernment.
7. Pride & Arrogance can be the tares→ Stay Humble & Accept Correction
Solution: Humble yourself before God (James 4:6 KJV
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble).
Practical Step: Accept feedback without defensiveness and seek wisdom.
Outcome: when you humble yourself then your Growth or help and favor comes from God and people.
8. Spiritual Laziness Can Be The Tares → Develop a Consistent Spiritual Routine, Habit, standard or procedure. You can give it any name by which you will understand.
Solution: Discipline yourself in prayer and Bible study (Joshua 1:8 KJV. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success).
Practical Step: Set a fixed time daily for prayer and Bible meditation.
Outcome: You will Spiritually be strengthened and gain divine insight.
9. Fear & Anxiety Can Be The Tares → Walk by Faith, Not by Fear
Solution: Trust God and take bold steps (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.).
Practical Step: Write down your fears, surrender them in prayer, and take one step forward despite fear.
Outcome: If the words of Christ gain grand in you courage and breakthrough will align with you.
10. Envy & Jealousy Can Be Your Tares → Focus on Your Own Journey and leave others to do their thing
Solution: Be grateful to God and trust God’s timing for your life that is a practical life (Galatians 6:4-5 KJV. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. [5] For every man shall bear his own burden).
Practical Step: Count your blessings daily and celebrate others.
Outcome: Contentment and personal progress will set in.
11. Lack of Discipline Can Be Your Tares → Build Good Habits
Solution: Be diligent and consistent (Proverbs 10:4 KJV
He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack (negligent) hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich).
Practical Step: Set daily routines and avoid procrastination.
Outcome: Success and reliability awaits your future.
12. Demonic Oppression Can Be Your Tares → Engage in Spiritual Warfare
Solution: Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:11 KJV. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles (schemes) of the devil.).
Practical Step: Fast, pray, and declare God’s Word over your life. Mark 9:29 KJV. And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
Outcome: Deliverance and victory over setbacks.
